Apply engineering principles and practices in system technologies and platforms to achieve business outcomes, while building out core technology and domain knowledge required to be effective.
Participate as a member of the systems development team with minimal supervision and occasional guidance.
Contribute to the development of estimation, design, installation, configuration, integration and production of information technology system components.
Ensure rapid, automated and safe deployment of technical solutions.
Participate in the assimilation of platforms into their ecosystems, concentrating on all aspects of the stack
including hardware and networking, data handling and the flow through to the application and its integration
points.
Focus on non-functional requirements such as security, reliability, performance, maintainability, scalability and usability.
Provide local technical support and assistance to non-technical members of the team.
Take on support and technical troubleshooting responsibility for production systems.
Drive continuous improvements for the system and team processes.

Requirements:

Experienced systems engineer with at least 5 years hands on experience building/configuring Trade Finance solutions

Responsibilities

Build, manage and enhance system configuration within packaged trade finance applications (e.g Finastra Trade Innovation, CGI Trade360).
Deliver robust transition from development to production ensuring quality products and features
Produce, communicating, and deliver change documentation, KT and managing change records and approvals

Required knowledge

Strong experience developing and supporting Trade Finance platform(s).
Experience in Design & Development of CICD pipelines
Experience in designing and implementing security concepts, patterns, practices
Experience in Designing IAM Roles/policies
Competencies

Must have

Expert in designing, building and supporting solutions on Trade Finance packaged applications (e.g Finastra Ti, CGI Trade360 or other internally developed proprietary systems).
Competency with designing and building API/microservices.
Extensive experience in Git, managing branches, PR reviews & resolving conflicts
Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of TeamCity/Octopus would be an added advantage

Nice to have

Solid security practices and knowledge
Confidence in working with relational databases
Confident to deliver systems logging and monitoring capabilities in AWS
Jira, Confluence
Experience in automation testing of Infrastructure Code
